One Ring Circus came about after 15 years of working in Community Arts and Theatre.

Claire Macdonald

Claire has been delivering theatre arts workshops to people of all ages and abilities for over 10 years working with schools and communities to celebrate thier uniqeness through various mediums, from circus skills to building giant willow sculptures, drama and art.

Claire has a HND in Theatre Studies( Design and Production Crafts) from Northbrook College and has worked for various theatres across Scotland, primarily as a Scenic Artist at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh.

After travelling abroad, Claire became an Outreach worker for Eden Court teaching Theatre Arts in schools and their communities. The years working with Eden Court inspired her to become a Children’s Support Worker where her arts skills proved invaluable alongside her support skills.  

Claire loves learning and celebration, she also paints in oil and etches.
